I decided to go for Bobbi Brown Makeup Lesson after saw Bobbi
Brown advertisement. Its claims that I can say goodbye to makeup smudges, that is one of the point that I am eager to learn.

Choose from one of the four Makeup Lessons:

  2. Classic Look
  3. Smokey Eyes
  4. Pretty Powerful Makeup Lesson

4. Pretty Powerful Makeup Lesson
Bobbi's signature 10-Step Lesson. We'll teach you the tricks of the trade and create a beauty routine
    that's right for you.

I am quite confused with the choices.. which makeup lesson is more suitable for me? After doing some research online through Bobbi Brown website Bobbi Brown Tips, How To, Learn, blog and youtube, I decided to go for Pretty Powerful Makeup Lesson.
I think this is the most comprehensive lesson and you will learn from skincare to makeup. They called it 10 step lesson.

I send email to register for the lesson. The next day I got a phone call from Bobbi Brown. They asked for my credit card so they can proceed with the payment. So no more cancellation. I was advised to wait for the confirmation email.

I was booked on 13 April 2-5pm session at B1 Takashimaya Talking Hall. Upon arrival, I just register at the counter and $150 voucher was given to redeem for Bobbi Brown products upon completion of the lesson.

While waiting for the makeup lesson to begin, I have a chance to enjoy a cuppa gourmet coffee. But too bad I don't appreciate coffee, so I just take a sip and the rest into the dustbin.

This is how the class look like. Have a peek before the class start...
Not long after, I was told to go into the class that I register for. Make sure that you don't go into the wrong class. For the Pretty Powerful Makeup Lesson, there were 11 participants with 3 makeup artist to teach and  guide us throughout the lesson.

First I was given a Bobbi Brown cleansing oil to remove makeup in a cotton wool. Followed by water to clean the oiliness. It was like a step by step cleansing to makeup. Next was toner aka brightening lotion, Hydrating Eye Cream, Hydrating Face Cream, sunblock and lip balm. Then the makeup lesson start... She was asking for a volunteer to demo, one of the girl happily to be a volunteer.  The makeup artist will only put on makeup on one side of the face, then the girl get a chance to learn how to makeup the other part of her face.

First Bobbi Brown makeup artist will demonstrate how to put on Corrector under the eye. After learning the trick then I get the chance to practice on my face. I was given Medium to Dark Bisque shade. It is to brighten the dark circles, neutralize under eye darkness and designed to be used before Creamy Concealer.

My Creamy Concealer is Sand with Pale Yellow Powder. It blends easily to cover and brighten dark circles. I was told have to use the Corrector and Creamy Concealer Kit together to combat the grey tone.

Then set in foundation and loose powder. I have to avoid put on foundation on under eye area as I have put on Creamy Concealer.

For my brow I was told to use Natural Brow Shaper in Mahogany 'cause I have a thick brow. For Eyeshadow I was given 4 colours, but only remember Smoke -24 and Bone -16.
Another best selling is gel eyeliner, Graphite Shimmer Ink was chosen for me. I don't why I was given this grey tone colour. But I still prefer the Black Ink. Use Bobbi Brown Eyelash Curler and their Mascara to perk up my eyes. Put some blush on then finish off with Brightening Finishing Powder which I don't see any different.

I was disappointed because the lesson never touch on Shimmer Bricks. Actually I am quite interested on their shimmer brick because it can use as highlighter and eyeshadow. I didn't even get a chance to try on their shimmer bricks because they never display it on the tester....

By the time I finish putting on makeup... my face become oily... so I don't think Bobbi Brown skincare product suitable for my oily skin. But I still like their Makeup Products.

Its time for me to make use of my $150 voucher... Let me browse around the counter and will get back to you. Click the link here $150 Bobbi Brown Voucher and Membership to see what I got with my $150 Bobbi Brown Voucher.

  1. This post seems really informative to me. I was thinking of doing makeup lesson London by Lina Cameron. She trains the best makeup lesson in my town. I am really excited to do this course. My sister did her basic lesson from Lina too! She is doing so good nowadays! Lina helped her a lot to encourage and to improve her level. She is really glad to choose her.
